The unforgettable breakfast is Chácara das Acácias Inn’s specialty. Home-made recipes are carefully prepared every day by the owner, Dona Neli, herself.

Around our breakfast room is the garden, visited by several bird species every morning.

Cakes, bread, cookies, sweets and pies, all freshly made. The fruit coming from our own property is turned into delicious juices and preserves. Cold cuts, cheese, clabber milk and cereals complete the feast!

Dona Neli uncovers some of her recipes, so you can remember our delicious breakfast even after you leave us.

Blend together:
4 eggs
1 teacup oil
3 teacups sugar
5 big bananas (“nanica”)
1 coffee spoon ground cinnamon
1 coffee spoon ground clove

Put this mix into a bowl and add 4 tea cups of thin breadcrumbs and a tablespoon baking powder. Mix well and transfer into a buttered mould. Bake in a medium oven.

Blend together:
3 eggs
1 tablet margarine
3 carrots
3 teacups warm milk
50 g yeast
1 teacup corn meal
4 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon salt

Put everything in a bowl and add a teaspoon anise herb and approximately 1 ½ kg wheat flour: Work adding flour until it doesn’t stick to the hands anymore. Shape the rolls and arrange them on a baking tray. Leave them to grow until they double the size. Sprinkle with thin corn meal and bake in a medium oven.

For the dough:
1) heat at gentle heat;
1 ½ teacups chocolate powder
2 tablespoons butter
½ a teacup of sugar cane syrup
1 teacup milk

2) put in the beater;
4 egg yolks
½ a teacup sugar

As you beat the yolks and sugar, add little by little the heated mixture, plus more or less 2 cups wheat flour, a tablespoon baking powder, nutmeg, clove and cinnamon to taste and last the egg whites, beaten.
Put the whole in a buttered mould and bake in a medium oven for around 30 minutes.
