The Paraty Bay, with its still wild beaches and islands, is one of the most beautiful places in the Brazilian coastline. Its clear and calm waters, full of colorful fishes are an invitation for a good dive that you cannot refuse. Doubtless, this is a tour that pleases everyone, from all ages and styles. From big schooners to small trawlboats, there are many options to enjoy Paraty. Diving and fishing are common activities among the tourists. This is also a "obligatory" tour in Paraty. The charming fishermen village of Trindade has a rich history to tell, besides 7 fantastic beaches. Cepilho Beach: Surfers beach with access by car, with bar and parking lot Fora beach or Ranchos beach: Huge beach that bounds the village. Has many bars with delicacies and drinks. After two days of intense sea, nothing is better than visit the waterfalls which exist in the way to the mountain ridge: Pedra Branca, Tobogã, Corisco and many other spots where the river invites us for a refreshing bath. In these courses it is possible to make a stop at the ancient alembics to get to know the traditional process of making and of course tasting the famous Brazilian "pinga". In the direction of Angra dos Reis we have the beautiful São Gonçalo, São Gonçalinho and Prainha beaches. Small boats depart from São Gonçalo and take the tourist up to the Pelada Pequena Island, a place of great beauty and with a famous bar. In the direction of Ubatuba you can visit Paraty-Mirim with the oldest Church in Paraty, the Indian village of the Guaranis and a beach with well protected waters.
In Ubatuba, the Picinguaba village, the Fazenda beach (inside the State Park of Serra do Mar) and the community flour house are places where the nature and the local culture are still well preserved.

Walk calmly through all the small streets, observe each house with its colonial architecture. "How many history these windows may hide..."
Visit the historical buildings, such as the House of Culture with its painting collection and the programme of events and exhibitions. Have fun in a street show or having your caricature drawn; go in every shop and take some of the beauty of Paraty through the local craftsmanship. "Refuel" yourself in one of the good restaurants of the city and enjoy some live music in one of the bars. Reserve night to watch the puppet show. Paraty has became one important cultural and artistic point, concentrating a great numbers of ateliers of plastic artists. Don't forget to see the different artistic expressions that exist in the city. Inform yourself if there is a traditional party in the city. These events are very lively and generally have food stand, shows with the local band Santa Cecilia and of the "cirandeiros".
