" This could probably be the first image of the land that appeared to Pedro Alvares Cabral on 22 of April 1500 after crossing an imense blue of Atlantic Ocean, reaching the south of Bahia."
It was about the time of Easter also, when I first saw Monte Pascoal (Mount Easter) almost 500 years later.
The moments that follow provoked strong emotions on me. I felt enchanted, enlightened, honored being able to share with Pataxós days and nights, and weeks and laughts, sweet and salty waters, moons and stars, white and yellow sands, landscapes all that beauty and the magic of site.
This exhibition is a story about Pataxó indians that today live on a territory where Brazil was discovered to portuguese.
This is an exhibition of a part of my life, of my discovery, my experience."
