PARATY TOURISM AND ECOLOGY

Paraty-Cunha

Paraty-Cunha
Paraty-Cunha Road, that starts in the intersection of Paraty, in the Center´s opposite direction, is a place that has a country city touch. There, the rural area of paraty is mixed with an exuberant nature, wild sports practice, high quality gastronomy and good accomodation options.

The road is located between “Mateus Nunes” and “Perequê-Açú” rivers, providing natural pools and waterfalls throughout all its extension, always surrounded by preserved Atlantic Forest.

The “Cachoeira do Escorrega (da Penha)” (“Flume´s (Penha´s) Waterfall”) is the most famous waterfall, where young people can be seen practicing surf on the stone. It is also from this road that we can access the Gold Path, with its old paving recovered, that crosses the woods where the gold was transported in the past from Minas Gerais to Paraty´s harbor.

It is possible to contemplate scenes from rural Brazil and to visit places of great interest while walking in the region: art ateliers, pot-stills, flour house, historic farm as well as practicing tree climbing, riding horses, delight yourself with a large culinary variety and stay in a very cozy little hotel (inn).
