nasce nas profundas águas do Rio Paraguay E na mesopotamia Argentina
com folias de ate dois metros de diâmetro, a semente de seu fruto
comestível e chamado de milho d'água A etimologia da palavra
Yrupé "prato d'água" Uma bela donzela, apaixono-se pela lua, passava as noites de lua cheia, olhando, o celestial amante. Durante muito tempo tentou aproximasse , subindo nas arvores no topo das montanhas, ou correndo para o vale. Seus pés sangravam, de tanto andar pêlos ásperos caminhos, em procura do impossível . Uma noite mirando o reflexo do seu rosto, tão próximo da lua, sobre o rio,se jogou nas profundezas das aguas, quedando ali para sempre. Tupâ com muita compaixão do sofrimento da jovem, a transformo em Yrupé , agoura como una flor que olha sempre para o alto, em procura do amante ideal. |
