| Houve um tempo em que os Índios não conheciam
a chuva porque no céu existia um grande lago, que tinha um furo em
seu fundo,que era tampado permanentemente com a pata de um enorme pássaro Pescador. Mas um dia, um guerreiro atira para o pássaro um peixe dourado e,de repente, o voador se arremessou sobre a presa, afastando-se do furo. Foi assim que caiu na terra a primeira chuva abundante. Desta maneira, o raio que rasga o céu antes da chuva é o peixe dourado atirado pelo Índio, enquanto que o chuvisco que precede a grande chuva é causado pelo movimento do pássaro pescador que , na expectativa de receber o peixe dourado, desliza aqui e acolá, equilibrando-se em uma pata. |

| There
was a time in that the Indians didn't know the rain because in the sky a
great lake existed, that had a hole in the deep, it was covered permanently
with the foot of an enormous bird Fisherman. But one day, a warrior throws for the bird a fish gilded and suddenness, the flyer was flung on the prey, standing back of the hole. It was as soon as it fell in the earth the first abundant rain. Of this sorts things out, the ray that tears the sky before the rain it is the gold fish thrown by the Indian, while the sprinkle that precedes the great rain is caused by the movement of the bird fisherman that, in the expectation of receiving the gold fish, it slides here and there, being balanced in a paw. |
